Our 4x48 industrial grade silicon carbide belts are the perfect choice for fine finishing with lighter pressure. Silicon carbide is extremely sharp and friable, making it ideal for heat sensitive applications but not as long lasting as other abrasive materials. Its unique characteristics make silicon carbide a great choice for paint removal, sanding between coats, knife scale finishing, lapidary, or any application requiring consistent scratch patterns.
